Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabhakaran IAS conducted an inspection of ongoing infrastructure projects in Ward 44 of Coimbatore's West Zone on September 16. The Commissioner visited two key sites to assess the progress of road repair works and water supply improvements.

In the first leg of his inspection, Prabhakaran visited Ramasamy Street to review the road repair works being carried out. He was accompanied by Zonal Committee Chairperson Deivayani Tamilmarai, Ward Councilor Gayathri, Assistant Engineer Savitha, and other Corporation officials.

Following this, the Commissioner proceeded to Chinnammaal Street, where a significant water supply project is underway. Here, he inspected the construction of an overhead water tank with a capacity of 25 lakh liters. This tank is being built as part of the 24/7 water supply scheme implemented by Suez company.

The new overhead tank is expected to significantly improve water distribution in the area, ensuring a more reliable and consistent supply to residents. Commissioner Prabhakaran closely examined the construction progress and discussed the project details with the accompanying officials.

These inspections underscore the Corporation's commitment to enhancing urban infrastructure and public amenities in Coimbatore. The road repair works aim to improve local transportation, while the water tank project addresses the crucial need for efficient water supply in the growing city.
