Coimbatore: A shocking incident of violence between two auto drivers unfolded near the Kamarajar Nagar bus stop in Sundarapuram, Coimbatore, on Monday evening. The clash, which involved knives and stone-throwing, caused traffic congestion and left one person injured.

The altercation took place between Kathiresan (35) and Udaya Suriyan (30), both auto drivers from the Sundarapuram area. Eyewitnesses reported seeing the two men attacking each other with stones and chasing each other with knives in the middle of the road. The violent confrontation resulted in Udaya Suriyan sustaining a knife injury to his hand.

Alarmed by the incident, passersby immediately alerted the Sundarapuram police. Officers quickly arrived at the scene to investigate the matter. Upon inquiry, it was revealed that the two auto drivers had a history of frequent disputes over picking up passengers.
