Laborer drowns in pond while grazing cattle near Kuniyamuthur

A 55-year-old laborer from PK Pudur, Kuniyamuthur, tragically drowned in a pond while grazing cattle. The incident occurred on September 6 near Sengulam, behind JJ Nagar in Kuniyamuthur.


Coimbatore: A tragic incident unfolded near Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore, as a 55-year-old laborer lost his life while grazing cattle. The victim, identified as Balasubramaniam from PK Pudur in Kuniyamuthur, accidentally fell into a pond and drowned.

On September 6, Balasubramaniam was tending to his cattle near Sengulam, behind JJ Nagar in Kuniyamuthur. While going about his routine work, he unexpectedly slipped and fell into the pond. Unable to swim or call for help, he tragically drowned in the water.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Kuniyamuthur police rushed to the scene. They retrieved Balasubramaniam's body from the pond and sent it to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for post-mortem examination.

The Kuniyamuthur police have registered a case regarding the incident and are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the laborer's untimely death.
