Dravidian Friendship Federation Hosts 'Let's Appreciate Friendship' Event in Coimbatore

The Dravidian Friendship Federation organized a dialogue event titled 'Let's Appreciate Friendship' in Panneer Madai near Thudiyalur, Coimbatore. The event featured discussions on social justice, gender equality, and religious harmony.



Coimbatore: The Dravidian Friendship Federation organized a dialogue event titled 'Let's Appreciate Friendship' in Panneer Madai near Thudiyalur, Coimbatore. The event was presided over by Singarayar, President of the Dravidian Friendship Federation, with Asan Muhammad, the General Secretary, as the convenor.

C.M. Krishnakumar, DMK West Union Secretary of Periyanaickenpalayam, attended as the special guest. Professor Suba Veerapandian, Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Government's Social Justice Monitoring Committee, Founder of the Dravidian Friendship Federation, and President of the Dravidian Movement Tamils Forum, was the keynote speaker.



In his address to the local residents and students, Professor Veerapandian emphasized that individuals who reject caste discrimination, promote gender equality, and those of any religious belief can join and work with the Dravidian Friendship Federation. He stressed the importance of working towards a casteless and religionless society, maintaining gender equality, promoting religious harmony by eliminating hate politics, and establishing social justice.

The professor urged young people to post progressive ideas on social media platforms and spread them worldwide, stating that this is the need of the hour in the current age of advanced information technology.



The event was attended by various DMK officials including Sivakumar, Union Deputy Secretary; Suriyan Thambi, Youth Wing District Deputy Organizer; M. Kanagaraj, Farmers' Wing District Deputy Organizer; P.T. Gopalasamy, Labor Wing District Deputy Organizer; and District Representatives Kathirvel, Kanthasamy, Prabhavathi, Rajalakshmi, Vadivel, Mahendran, and Senthil, among others.

Nagaraj, Deputy General Secretary of the Dravidian Movement Tamils Forum, and Selina, District Organizer of the Dravidian Friendship Federation, were also present. The event arrangements were made by Vijayarani, State Deputy General Secretary of the Dravidian Friendship Federation. Advocate Murugesan, the Zonal Organizer, delivered the vote of thanks. The event concluded with a meal served to all attendees.
