Udumalpet Tirupati Sri Venkatesa Perumal Temple celebrated Pancharatra Jayanti with special pujas, abhishekams, and processions. Women devotees danced to Krishna songs, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Coimbatore: The Udumalpet Tirupati Sri Venkatesa Perumal Temple, located near Pallapalayam in Tiruppur district, celebrated Pancharatra Jayanti with a series of special rituals and events. The festivities drew a large crowd of devotees eager to participate in the auspicious occasion.
The celebrations began with special pujas and abhishekams for various deities including Venkatesa Perumal, Andal, Padmavati Thayar, Lakshmi Hayagrivan, Chakrathalvar, Yoga Narasimhar, Lakshmi Narasimhar, Dhanvantri, Vishvaksenar, and Anjaneya. These rituals were performed with great devotion and attention to detail.
Following the initial ceremonies, a grand Thirumanjana (holy bath) was conducted for Sri Devi Bhu Devi Sametha Perumal and Krishna. Simultaneously, a Narayaneeyam recitation took place in the Padmavati Mandapam, adding to the spiritual ambiance of the event.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the Thirukalyanam (divine wedding) and Sangupaal vaibhavam (conch milk offering) performed with Radha and Krishna dolls brought by devotees from their homes. This was followed by a Vennai Kappu puja (butter offering), a ritual closely associated with Lord Krishna.
The festivities culminated in a grand procession where Sri Devi Bhu Devi Sametha Perumal, along with Krishna, was carried in a palanquin around the temple premises. This procession allowed devotees to have darshan of the deities in all their glory.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from devotees, with women adding to the joyous atmosphere by dancing to Krishna songs. The temple administration had made extensive arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the Pancharatra Jayanti celebrations, providing a memorable experience for all attendees.
