CITU Coimbatore District Committee Donates Rs. 3 Lakh for Wayanad Flood Relief

CITU Coimbatore District Committee donated Rs. 3 lakh to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for Wayanad flood relief on Wednesday, August 21, at the Kerala Secretariat in Thiruvananthapuram.


Coimbatore: The Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) Coimbatore District Committee has donated Rs. 3 lakh towards the Wayanad flood relief fund. The donation was personally handed over to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at the Kerala Secretariat in Thiruvananthapuram.

The meeting took place on Wednesday, August 21, at the Kerala Secretariat. A delegation from the CITU Coimbatore District Committee, led by District Secretary S. Krishnamoorthy, met with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to present the cheque for Rs. 3 lakh.



The delegation included K. Manoharan, District President of CITU Coimbatore, R. Velusamy, District Treasurer, and K. Santhosh and C. Duraisamy, both Deputy Secretaries of the district committee. The team personally handed over the cheque to the Chief Minister, expressing their solidarity with the flood-affected people of Wayanad.

This generous contribution from the CITU Coimbatore District Committee demonstrates the spirit of inter-state cooperation and support during times of natural calamities. The funds are expected to aid in the ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts in the flood-hit Wayanad district of Kerala.
