BJP MLA Vanathi Srinivasan defends RSS background in central government appointments

Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan met CM Stalin, discussed constituency projects, and defended RSS presence in central government appointments, citing widespread RSS background in BJP leadership.

Vanathi Srinivasan, BJP MLA from Coimbatore South constituency, has defended the presence of RSS background individuals in central government appointments. She stated that the question of RSS infiltration is irrelevant as the people have already entrusted the government to those with RSS backgrounds, from the Prime Minister to various Union Ministers.

Vanathi Srinivasan met Chief Minister M.K. Stalin at the Chennai Secretariat today to discuss various projects for the Coimbatore South constituency.

Following the meeting, she addressed reporters at the Secretariat.

When questioned about UPSC's direct appointment of joint secretaries in central government departments without following reservation policies, and whether this was to facilitate the entry of RSS-affiliated individuals, Vanathi Srinivasan responded, "The central government is appointing skilled individuals to key departments through direct recruitment. These are not permanent positions but temporary appointments for a specific duration. Therefore, there will be no impact on reservations and related policies."

Addressing the concern about RSS-affiliated individuals being brought into these positions, she said, "This question is irrelevant because the Prime Minister of this country is from RSS, 95% of the country's ministers are from RSS, and all national leaders in the BJP party are from RSS background. The people have entrusted the entire government to those with RSS backgrounds, so there's no room for this question."
