Thendral Nagar Residents Petition Collector for Basic Amenities

Residents of Thendral Nagar near Sulur in Coimbatore petitioned the District Collector for basic amenities. Their key demands include road infrastructure, water supply, and integration with Sulur Municipality.

Coimbatore: Residents of Thendral Nagar, located near Sulur in Coimbatore district, have submitted a petition to the District Collector demanding basic amenities. Their primary requests include the provision of essential facilities such as proper roads and water supply, along with the integration of their area into the Sulur Municipality.

Approximately 250 families reside in Thendral Nagar. The residents reported that they have been suffering without adequate basic facilities for the past 10 years. In particular, they expressed their grievance about the lack of drinking water facilities, forcing them to travel several kilometers to fetch water.

Furthermore, the residents voiced their concern over the poor condition of roads, which they claim leads to frequent accidents. They accused the Panchayat leader of inaction despite multiple complaints about these issues.

The residents lamented that various promises are made only during election times but are never fulfilled. They believe that merging their area with the Sulur Municipality could help them obtain the basic amenities they desperately need.

The people of Thendral Nagar have appealed to the District Collector to consider their demands and take appropriate action to address their longstanding issues.
