Omni Van Collides with Parked Car Near Arulmigu Thandu Mariamman Temple in Coimbatore

An Omni van crashed into a parked Maruti Swift car near Arulmigu Thandu Mariamman Temple in Coimbatore on the 13th, resulting in vehicle damage and minor injuries to the van's occupants.



Coimbatore: A road accident occurred near the Arulmigu Thandu Mariamman Temple in Coimbatore when an Omni van collided with a parked car, causing significant damage and minor injuries.



The incident took place on the 13th, beneath the Avinashi Road flyover in Coimbatore. A Kerala-registered Maruti Swift car was parked in front of the Arulmigu Thandu Mariamman Temple when a speeding Omni van crashed into it. The collision resulted in extensive damage to the front of the Omni van.



Eyewitnesses immediately rushed to assist the occupants of the Omni van. After a brief struggle, a husband and wife were rescued from the vehicle with minor injuries. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras, and the footage has now been made public.



The accident has raised concerns about road safety in the area, particularly regarding the speed of vehicles near religious sites and busy intersections. Local authorities are expected to investigate the incident and may consider implementing additional safety measures to prevent similar accidents in the future.
