MLA PRG. Arun Kumar Initiates Borewell Project and Tree Planting Event in Vilankurichi, Coimbatore

MLA PRG. Arun Kumar inaugurated a new borewell and led a tree planting ceremony in Vilankurichi, part of the Coimbatore Goundampalayam constituency, enhancing local infrastructure and environmental efforts.


Coimbatore: In a move to boost local amenities and environmental sustainability, PRG. Arun Kumar, MLA of the Goundampalayam constituency, has officially inaugurated a new electric motor borewell in the Nataraj Lay-out area of Vilankurichi.



The project, valued at ₹4.50 lakhs, is funded by the Legislative Assembly Constituency Development Fund. The inauguration was attended by party officials and residents, signaling a step forward in improving local water resources.



Furthermore, MLA PRG. Arun Kumar spearheaded a tree planting event today, August 8, at a park in the same locality.



This environmental initiative saw participation from members of the Lions Club, teachers and students of Dharmasastha Higher Secondary School and Krishnamal College, highlighting the community's commitment to green efforts. This event not only enhances the area's aesthetic but also contributes to its ecological welfare, with numerous local dignitaries and public joining in to support the green cause.



These initiatives by MLA PRG. Arun Kumar underline the ongoing efforts to enhance the infrastructure and environmental landscape of Vilankurichi, aligning with broader developmental goals for the Coimbatore district.
