Stanes Anglo Indian HSS Clinches U-19 Boys Football Title at KPR Trophy 2024

KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology hosted the KPR Trophy 2024 from August 2-3, featuring 30 teams in the U-19 boys category. Stanes Anglo Indian HSS emerged victorious in the final match.



Coimbatore: The KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology played host to the eagerly anticipated KPR Trophy 2024, a two-day sporting extravaganza that took place on August 2 and 3, 2024. The tournament's Under-19 boys category saw fierce competition among 30 participating teams from across the region.

In a thrilling finale, Stanes Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School (AIHSS) showcased their dominance on the field, securing a resounding victory against Mani Higher Secondary School. The final scoreline stood at an impressive 4-0 in favor of Stanes AIHSS, cementing their position as the champions of the tournament.

The standout performer of the event was Rithikesh from Stanes AIHSS, who was honored with the prestigious Best Player Award for his exceptional skills and contribution to his team's success throughout the tournament.

The KPR Trophy 2024 not only provided a platform for young athletes to showcase their talents but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition and sportsmanship among the participating schools. The event's success highlights the importance of such tournaments in nurturing sporting talent at the grassroots level in Coimbatore.
