Coimbatore: In a gesture of community support, Kalaichelvi Thandapani, the 17th ward councillor of Kottur Town Panchayat, donated five electric fans to the government hospital in Kottur on August 5. The donation was made from her personal funds, aiming to improve the comfort of patients and staff at the healthcare facility.

The donation ceremony was attended by key local political figures. Balraj, the DMK Secretary of Kotur Town Panchayat, and Velmurugan, another town panchayat council member, were present to witness the handover of the fans to the hospital administration.

This act of generosity highlights the ongoing efforts of local elected representatives to contribute to the betterment of public facilities in their constituencies.
