Brutal Murder in Coimbatore: Annamalai Condemns Rising Crime Under DMK Rule

BJP State President K Annamalai strongly condemns the brutal murder of lawyer Udayakumar in Coimbatore, criticizing the DMK government for failing to maintain law and order in Tamil Nadu.

Coimbatore: BJP Tamil Nadu State President K Annamalai has strongly condemned the brutal murder of lawyer Udayakumar in Coimbatore on Wednesday, August 2. In a Facebook post on Thursday, Annamalai expressed shock over the incident and extended his deepest condolences to the victim's family.

Annamalai criticized the deteriorating law and order situation in Tamil Nadu since the DMK came to power. He pointed out that Chief Minister M K Stalin, who had assured direct control over law and order, has not taken any visible action to address the rising crime rate. The BJP leader also condemned statements by some ministers suggesting that murders are inevitable, calling such remarks completely unacceptable.

The state BJP chief expressed concern over the lack of safety for citizens, noting that even prominent figures like national party state leaders, district heads of alliance parties like Congress, lawyers, and common people are not safe in Tamil Nadu. He lamented that this ongoing situation is cause for alarm.

Annamalai accused the police force of being used primarily to arrest those criticizing the DMK government on social media platforms, rather than focusing on their primary duty of maintaining law and order. He described this as a regrettable situation that transcends politics.

In a stern warning, Annamalai stated that if Chief Minister Stalin, who is responsible for the police department, fails to take stringent measures to maintain law and order, he will be remembered in Tamil Nadu's political history as an incompetent Chief Minister.

The BJP leader's strong statements come in the wake of the recent murder in Coimbatore, highlighting the growing concerns over public safety and the effectiveness of the current administration in tackling crime in the state.
