DMK Councillor Mariselvan Counters AIADMK's Protest with Massive Poster Thanking CM

DMK Councillor Mariselvan responds to AIADMK's protest against online building approval system by putting up a large poster in Coimbatore thanking CM Stalin for the initiative.

Coimbatore: In a dramatic turn of events following the Coimbatore Corporation Council meeting last Friday, DMK Councillor Mariselvan has countered AIADMK's protest against the new online building approval system by erecting a massive poster thanking Chief Minister M.K. Stalin for the initiative.

The controversy began during the council meeting presided over by Deputy Mayor Vetriselvan, where CM Stalin virtually launched a new online system for easier building approvals. AIADMK councillors, opposing this move, staged a sit-in protest at the council hall entrance, demanding the cancellation of the online approval scheme for house construction.

In response to this protest, Mariselvan, the DMK Councillor for Ward 80 and Chairman of the Public Health Committee, has put up a huge poster in Coimbatore. The poster expresses gratitude to Chief Minister Stalin for introducing the online approval system, which aims to simplify the process of obtaining building permits for the public.

This tit-for-tat response has created a stir in local political circles, highlighting the ongoing rivalry between the DMK and AIADMK in Coimbatore. While the AIADMK sees the new online system as problematic, the DMK is promoting it as a citizen-friendly initiative that will streamline the building approval process.
