The innovative program, supported by the Tamil Nadu government, offers financial assistance for setting up modern laundry facilities.

According to the announcement made on July 30, the government will provide a grant of Rs. 3 lakhs to cover the costs of machinery, raw materials, and other initial expenses required for establishing a modern laundry. This initiative is part of the state's efforts to improve the economic conditions of these communities.

To be eligible for this scheme, applicants must form a group of 10 members. Each member of the group should have an annual income not exceeding Rs. 1 lakh. This criterion ensures that the benefits reach those who are most in need of economic support.
