MLA V. Jayaraman Initiates Expansion of Ration Shop in Pollachi's 19th Ward

Pollachi MLA V. Jayaraman laid the foundation stone for the expansion of a fair price shop in Ward 19, Jubilee Well Street, allocating Rs. 3.50 lakhs from the constituency development fund.


Coimbatore: In a move to enhance public service infrastructure, Pollachi MLA Dr. V. Jayaraman initiated the expansion of a ration shop in Ward 19 of Pollachi town on July 29. The project, funded with Rs. 3.50 lakhs from the MLA's constituency development fund, aims to improve the facilities at the fair price shop located on Jubilee Well Street.

Dr. V. Jayaraman, who serves as the former minister, current MLA of Pollachi, DMK's election division secretary, and Tirupur urban district secretary, personally laid the foundation stone for the expansion work. The ceremony marked a significant step towards better service delivery for the residents of the area.



The expansion project is expected to modernize the existing ration shop, potentially accommodating more customers and streamlining the distribution process. This initiative aligns with the government's efforts to enhance the public distribution system and ensure easier access to essential commodities for the local population.

The event saw the participation of several party officials and functionaries. Notable among them were the city secretary Krishnakumar and the district students' wing secretary James Raja. Their presence underscored the importance of the project and the collective effort behind its implementation.



This development is part of the ongoing efforts to improve public infrastructure in Pollachi. The expansion of the ration shop is anticipated to benefit numerous families in Ward 19 and the surrounding areas, providing them with better facilities for accessing their essential supplies through the public distribution system.
