Ward 15 Councillor Shanthamani Pacchamuthu distributed educational kits to 250 students at Subramaniyampalayam Government Middle School in Coimbatore, commemorating the 122nd birth anniversary of Kamarajar on July 15.
Coimbatore: The 122nd birth anniversary of Karmaveer Kamarajar, the visionary leader who opened the eyes of education, was celebrated across the nation on July 15. As part of the celebrations, Ward 15 Councillor Shanthamani Pacchamuthu distributed educational kits to 250 students at the Subramaniyampalayam Government Middle School in Coimbatore.
The event began with a warm welcome address by the school's headmistress, Radhamani. Congress State General Secretary Pacchamuthu presided over the function and paid floral tributes to Kamarajar's portrait installed on the school premises. Other attendees followed suit, offering their respects to the great leader.

Prior to the distribution of educational kits, school children dressed up as Kamarajar and recited poems and stories about his life and contributions. Following this, Councillor Shanthamani Pacchamuthu distributed educational kits containing pencils, pens, erasers, sharpeners, and English-Tamil dictionaries to 250 students of the school.
The event saw the participation of several notable figures, including Congress Party District Secretary Sheikh Abdul Kader, Senthilkumar, Subramani, Rangasamy Raghupathy, and teachers Jothimani, Uma Maheshwari, Rajeswari, Princy, Geetha, Beulah, and Hepsi Paul. Several Congress party executives were also present at the function.
