Thief Attempts Burglary in Occupied House Near Avarampalayam, Coimbatore; Incident Caught on CCTV

Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, a masked thief attempted to break into an occupied house in Shoba Nagar, near Avarampalayam in the Peelamedu area of Coimbatore. The incident occurred on July 13 night and was captured on CCTV cameras, causing alarm among local residents.

According to reports, the house belongs to Ramasamy, who was asleep with his family when the attempted burglary took place. Around midnight, a masked intruder approached the house, assuming it was empty. The thief then tried to break open the front door, unaware that the family was inside.

The noise from the attempted break-in woke up the residents, who were shocked to see the burglar trying to force entry into their home. Upon realizing that the house was occupied, the thief quickly fled the scene.

Prior to the attempted break-in, the burglar had damaged the CCTV camera installed at the front of the house. However, his actions were captured by another camera on the street, providing crucial evidence for the ongoing investigation.

Following the incident, Ramasamy filed a complaint with the Peelamedu police, who have launched an investigation into the matter. The CCTV footage of the attempted burglary was released yesterday, causing further concern among local residents about the security situation in the area.

The Peelamedu police are currently analyzing the available evidence and working to identify and apprehend the suspect. Residents in the area have been advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
