Coimbatore: In a move to expedite tax collection for the fiscal year 2024-2025, Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabakaran has announced extended working hours for all tax collection centers in the city.

According to the official statement released on July 12, all zonal tax collection centers and other collection points will now operate from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This extension will be in effect from Monday to Saturday, excluding government holidays.

The extended hours aim to provide convenience for residents to pay various taxes and fees, including property tax, vacant land tax, professional tax, non-tax items, and water charges. This initiative is part of the Corporation's efforts to streamline the tax collection process and improve public service.
