Pollachi Municipal Chairperson Rescues Accident Victims Near Kovilpalayam

Pollachi Municipal Chairperson Shyamala Navaneethakrishnan rescued a father and his two sons injured in a motorcycle accident near Kovilpalayam, Pollachi, and ensured they received prompt medical attention.


Coimbatore: In a display of quick thinking and compassion, Pollachi Municipal Chairperson Shyamala Navaneethakrishnan came to the rescue of accident victims near Kovilpalayam, Pollachi.

The incident occurred when Kanagavel, a resident of Thamaraikulam in Pollachi, was traveling on his two-wheeler with his two sons. Their motorcycle unexpectedly collided with a road barrier near Kovilpalayam, resulting in injuries to Dharanish and Dharaneendran.



Chairperson Shyamala Navaneethakrishnan, who was returning from Coimbatore, happened to pass by the accident site. Without hesitation, she used her official vehicle to transport the injured to the Pollachi Government Hospital. She personally requested the doctors to provide the best possible treatment to the victims.

Recognizing the need for advanced medical care, Navaneethakrishnan arranged for the injured to be transferred to Coimbatore's Ganga Hospital for further treatment. Her swift action and concern for the victims' well-being have been praised by social activists, who commended her for demonstrating true humanity in a time of crisis.

The chairperson's timely intervention and commitment to ensuring proper medical care for the accident victims have been widely appreciated by the local community, setting an example of responsible leadership and compassion in public service.
