Rahul Gandhi knows the way to Hathras but not to Kallakurichi: Union Minister L Murugan

Union Minister L Murugan criticizes Rahul Gandhi for not visiting Kallakurichi while addressing various issues including Tamil Nadu politics, BJP's growth, and railway projects in Coimbatore.

Coimbatore: Union Minister L Murugan met with reporters at the Coimbatore airport and addressed various issues, including criticisms of Rahul Gandhi and updates on railway projects in the region.

Murugan stated, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has created history by forming the government for the third time. Members of Parliament from Tamil Nadu have taken oath unconstitutionally. Rahul Gandhi has gone to Hathras today. He knows the way to Hathras but doesn't know the way to Kallakurichi. Without taking a double stand, Rahul Gandhi should immediately come to Kallakurichi and visit the people."

Regarding the Vikravandi by-election, the minister said, "All leaders of the National Democratic Alliance participated in yesterday's public meeting. The NDA is in the field for the Vikravandi by-election with great enthusiasm."

On the Kallakurichi issue, Murugan responded, "The Stalin government should eradicate illicit liquor and protect Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu government should close Tasmac shops and provide good education to students."

When asked about Leader of Opposition Edappadi Palaniswami's criticism of BJP State President Annamalai, Murugan replied, "Our leader has given the right answer to the criticisms. Due to the activities of our state president Annamalai, BJP is growing very fast as a party."

Regarding the naming of newly implemented laws in Sanskrit, he said, "The names of the newly implemented criminal laws and the laws will be translated into Tamil."

Murugan also provided updates on railway projects: "As I promised during my candidacy in Dharapuram, we have announced plans for a railway line from Palani to Erode via Dharapuram in the next budget. We are upgrading Mettupalayam railway station at a cost of over 50 crore rupees. The people's thinking is that we don't worry about the constituency where Raja won. Even though we lost the election in that area, we continue to be engaged in work for the people."
