TETOJAC Organization members staged a protest in front of Michael Higher Secondary School in Coimbatore, demanding the repeal of Government Order 243, which affects teacher transfers.
Coimbatore: Today, amidst an ongoing review meeting on the primary education sector at Michael Higher Secondary School, members of the TETOJAC Organization gathered to protest strongly against Government Order 243.

The demonstration unfolded in front of the school premises, highlighting their demands for the order's repeal.
According to Veerasamy, the Coimbatore District Coordinator for the organization, "The implementation of Government Order 243 shifts from a union-based to a state-based priority in job postings, depriving 90 percent of teachers of their promotional opportunities. Moreover, this state-based priority could lead to corruption, influencing teacher transfers."

The protestors raised slogans demanding the cancellation of Government Order 243, asserting that it unfairly manipulates teachers' positional shifts and promotional avenues. The intense demonstration hinted at broader discontent among educational professionals and highlighted the need for a transparent and fair transfer process.
