On World Blood Donor Day, June 14, a blood donation camp was organized at the Central Farm premises of Vanavarayar Agricultural College, led by Dr. G. Thamodharan and Dr. N. Naveen in collaboration with the medical team from Pollachi Government Hospital.
Coimbatore: Celebrating World Blood Donor Day, Vanavarayar Agricultural College conducted a significant blood donation camp on June 14 at the Central Farm premises. This annual event aims to bolster the critical blood reserves needed nationwide.

This year, the camp was organized by Dr. G. Thamodharan and Dr. N. Naveen, the coordinators of the college’s National Service Scheme, in collaboration with the medical team from Pollachi Government Hospital.

About 50 students and 10 faculty members participated, contributing significantly to the nation's blood supply.

The initiative not only helped replenish blood stocks but also highlighted the community service component of the National Service Scheme, instilling a sense of social responsibility among the participants.
