Theft at Coimbatore Railway Station: Rs. 25,000 and 2 Mobile Phones Stolen

A man from Bihar was robbed of Rs. 25,000 and two mobile phones at Coimbatore Railway Station while he was planning to travel back home.


Coimbatore: In a shocking incident at Coimbatore Railway Station on June 24, Bilaandar, a 35-year-old labourer from Bihar, fell victim to theft. He approached the station to book a ticket back to his hometown. A stranger approached him, offering help with the ticketing process. This stranger, having gained Bilaandar’s trust, abruptly snatched Rs. 25,000 in cash and two mobile phones from him and fled the scene.

Disturbed by the ordeal, Bilaandar reported the incident to the Race Course Police Station. The police have registered a case and launched a search for the unidentified perpetrator.
