Worker Dies as Wall Collapses Near Perur Pattiswarar Temple in Coimbatore

In Coimbatore, a wall collapsed during the construction of a drainage near Perur Pattiswarar Temple. Velumurugan, a worker from Madukkarai, was tragically killed by the debris.


Coimbatore: A tragic incident occurred near Perur Pattiswarar Temple in Coimbatore when a wall adjacent to an under-construction drainage collapsed, resulting in the death of a worker. According to reports, the wall gave way during the construction activities, burying Velumurugan, a resident of Madukkarai, under the debris.




Police and emergency services immediately responded to the scene and recovered the body. The deceased was then sent to a government hospital for post-mortem examination. Authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the collapse and to evaluate safety measures at the construction site.
