Governor RN Ravi Participates in Yoga Event at TNAU, Coimbatore; Pays Silent Tribute to Kallakurichi Victims

Governor RN Ravi attended a yoga event at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, marking International Yoga Day. A silent tribute was also paid to the victims of the recent tragic incident in Kallakurichi.


Coimbatore: In a poignant conjunction of health and remembrance, Governor RN Ravi graced a Yoga event at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) in Coimbatore. The event, held to celebrate International Yoga Day, saw a substantial gathering including college and school students.




The governor, while addressing the attendees, emphasized the importance of Yoga in promoting wellness and holistic development. After the Yoga session, a moment of silence was observed to honor the victims of the recent illicit liquor tragedy in Kallakurichi, where several lives were unfortunately lost.






The event was not just a fitness endeavor but also a platform to remember those who had tragically passed away, linking community health initiatives with collective memory and respect.




Fellow attendees of various ages performed various Yoga asanas under the guidance of expert instructors, demonstrating the inclusive spirit of the program.




The function concluded with Governor RN Ravi thanking the participants and organizers, highlighting the significance of such events in fostering a healthier society.
