Tamil Nadu Government Must Take Severe Precautionary Measures Immediately, Says TVK Leader Vijay After Kallakurichi Incident

Following the tragic incident in Karunapuram, Kallakurichi, where over 25 people died from illicit liquor consumption, TVK leader Vijay demands stringent preventative measures from the Tamil Nadu government.



Coimbatore: The recent tragic incident in Karunapuram, Kallakurichi, where more than 25 individuals lost their lives due to illicit liquor consumption, has caused immense shock and sorrow. Expressing deep condolences to the families of the deceased, prayers are also extended for the swift recovery of those affected and currently under treatment.

Repeated tragedies like this one illustrate a disregard in government administration, marking the second such incident within a year. The persistence of these events suggests an alarming negligence, compelling an urgent need for more vigorous preventive actions by the government.

In a statement, the leader of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, Vijay, criticized the state government for its laxity and called for immediate, stringent measures to prevent such incidents in the future. He emphasized this plea in a post on his Facebook page today, June 20th.
