A blood signature campaign was launched today, by the protestors at Sivanandha Colony. The protestors mostly farmers association (non-political), students and public have been protesting in the city in a peaceful way for the second consecutive day to extend their support for the TN farmers' who have been pathetically protesting in New Delhi for nearly a month.

The protestors have planned to collect 2 lakh blood thumb imprints from the public and sent it to the President of India to show their unconditional support for the farmers'.
The protesting farmers here, demanded that a drought relief package of Rs. 40,000 crore, farm loan waiver and setting up of a Cauvery Management Board should be done on priority by the central government. They also alleged that the Central Government continues to show a lethargic attitude towards TN farmers' welfare.
