Confusion over Coimbatore Name on New Municipal Vehicles Spawns Correction Request

Tamil activists in Coimbatore call for immediate correction after new municipal vehicles wrongly labelled as Kombuthoor instead of Coimbatore.

Coimbatore: A typographical error on the newly acquired garbage collection vehicles of Coimbatore Municipal Corporation has stirred confusion among locals. In a recent procurement for Ward No. 44, the vehicles intended for garbage collection were mistakenly inscribed with "Kombuthoor", deviating from the actual spelling of "Coimbatore."

This has led to a mix-up, prompting Tamil enthusiasts from the city to question whether it should be "Coimbatore" or "Kombuthoor?" Consequently, they have urged the municipal administration to rectify the error immediately to prevent any further confusion.
