The entire nation was stirred after the Tamil Nadu farmers, protesting at Jantar Mantar, stripped outside the Prime Minister’s Office in New Delhi, yesterday.
Demanding a drought relief package of Rs. 40,000 crore, farm loan waiver and setting up of a Cauvery Management Board the farmers' have been protesting since, 14th March, 2017.

Condemning the central government for persistently ignoring the farmers protest, the SDPI party today demonstrated a protest at the Coimbatore Railway Station. The protestors alleged and raised slogans against the Central Government for being biased to the people of Tamil Nadu by ignoring their pleas at all times.

Ansar Sheriff, District South Zone President, Mustafa, SDPI, District President and other office bearers of the party led the protest.
As the protestors tried to enter the railway station, the police stopped them and arrested 42 members of the party.
