Anaimalai Regulated Market Sees Copra Sales Reach Rs. 16.4 Lakhs

In Anaimalai Regulated Market, 74 farmers sold 430 bags of copra for Rs. 16.4 lakhs during the auction held on Tuesday, May 28.

Coimbatore: The regular Tuesday and Thursday copra auctions at Anaimalai Regulated Market witnessed a substantial trade this Tuesday. A total of 74 farmers from the Anaimalai region participated, bringing in 430 bags of copra.

Top-grade copra achieved a maximum price of Rs. 8826 per quintal, with 178 bags sold, while the second-grade copra saw 252 bags fetching up to Rs. 8010 per quintal. Overall, a whopping 193.50 quintals of copra was sold, amounting to Rs. 16.4 lakhs. This event highlights the significant agricultural activity in the region and provides insight into the local copra market dynamics.
