Man Falls into Well While Trying to Rescue Goat but Rescued Safely in Thudiyalur

In Thudiyalur, Coimbatore, a 42-year-old man, Karthi, fell into a well trying to rescue his goat. The emergency services quickly responded and saved both safely last evening.


Coimbatore: A dramatic rescue unfolded near Thudiyalur, Coimbatore, when Karthi, a 42-year-old resident of Thoppampatti, Jos Nagar, fell into a 100-foot deep well while attempting to save a young goat that had accidentally fallen in. The incident occurred yesterday evening when Karthi, trying to retrieve his goat, lost his footing and plunged into the well.




Upon receiving the distress call, the Periyanayakanpalayam fire and rescue team, led by station officers Karthikesan, Sureshkumar, Satish Kannan, Velmurugan, and Mohanraj, acted swiftly. They managed to rescue Karthi, who was fighting for his life at the bottom of the deep well. After a tense rescue operation, Karthi was safely pulled out and immediately transported to a government hospital for medical attention. Fortunately, the goat was also rescued alive and returned to its owner.


This incident highlights the dangers of unsecured wells in residential areas and the prompt response of the local emergency services.
