Two-Day Military Equipment Exhibition in Coimbatore

A two-day exhibition showcasing military gear used by the Indian Army and domestically produced defense equipment will begin at the Codissia complex in Coimbatore on May 28.



Coimbatore: The Codissia Trade Fair Complex on Avinashi Road in Coimbatore is gearing up for a prominent military equipment exhibition scheduled for May 28th and 29th. This event is a joint initiative between the Codissia Defence Innovation and Atal Incubation Center and the Southern Star Army Academy Industry Interface. It aims to display the advancements in military hardware produced under the purview of the Southern Bharat Area of the Indian Army.



Codissia's Chairman Thirugnanam, along with executives Sasikumar, Sundaram, and Ponram, announced the details during a press meeting.



Thirugnanam expressed that the exhibition underscores the advances in indigenous military production and boosts innovations in defense manufacturing in India.

"By hosting this exhibition, we aim to foster the growth of India's defense sector capabilities, encouraging innovations in domestically produced military equipment," said Thirugnanam. He further outlined that various defense sectors, including the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Niti Aayog, the Department of Industry, Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation, and numerous educational institutions, will participate.

The exhibition promises to be an engaging showcase, bringing together stakeholders from multiple spheres of the defense industry, thus reinforcing India’s commitment to achieving self-reliance in defense production.
