Water Flow Resumes at Ponnuthamman Temple Waterfall near Thudiyalur

Recent heavy rains have led to the resumption of water flow in the waterfall at Ponnuthamman Temple near Thudiyalur, Coimbatore, bringing joy to the local community.

Coimbatore: Following a period of drought in several water bodies due to the onset of summer, consistent and heavy rainfall over the past few days across the Western Ghats foothills, including areas like Thadagam, Chinna Thadagam, and 24 Veerapandi, has significantly alleviated the situation.

Previously, the waterfall at Ponnuthamman Temple near Thudiyalur had dried up. However, yesterday's persistent downpour has successfully revived the water flow, much to the delight of the residents. The resurgence of the waterfall is seen as a positive sign, reviving not just the water feature, but also the spirits of the local community.

The continuous rainfall has been crucial in replenishing this natural resource, vital for maintaining the ecological balance in the region. Local residents express their happiness as the waterfall, a central aspect of their cultural and natural heritage, springs back to life.
