Partial Cancellation of Tirupati-Coimbatore Express Due to Engineering Works

The Tirupati-Coimbatore Express will be partially cancelled on select dates between Tirupati and Katpadi due to engineering works at Bommasamudram station starting May 27, 2024.


Coimbatore: The railway department announced that due to engineering work for installing a new loop line near Bommasamudram station in the Katpadi-Chittoor region, there will be a partial cancellation of the Tirupati-Coimbatore Express. This disruption is due to the ongoing construction aiming to enhance railway infrastructure.

The affected service, train number 22615 Tirupati-Coimbatore Express, will not operate between Tirupati and Katpadi on May 27, 29, and 30, 2024. While the service from Katpadi to Coimbatore will run as scheduled on these dates, the return journey of train number 22616 Coimbatore-Tirupati Express will also see partial cancellations on May 28 and 30, 2024. During these dates, the train will operate only from Coimbatore to Katpadi, and will not extend to Tirupati from Katpadi.
