Two Arrested for Selling Banned Kerala Lottery Tickets in Pollachi

Sub-Inspector Muruganandam conducted a raid on Meenkarai - Kizhavan Puthur Road near Pollachi on May 15, uncovering the illegal sale of banned Kerala lottery tickets.


Coimbatore: In a significant operation, the Anaimalai police led by Sub-Inspector Muruganandam, captured two individuals involved in the illicit sale of prohibited Kerala lottery tickets in the Pollachi area.

The raid, carried out on the evening of May 15 on Meenkarai - Kizhavan Puthur Road, led to the arrest of Sivasankar, aged 28, from Vettaikaranpudur, and Manikandan, aged 49. Authorities seized 400 lottery tickets, ₹8000 in cash obtained from the sales, and a scooter used during the operations. Further investigations are ongoing regarding this matter.
