A robbery in an apartment complex in Singanallur has created shock waves among the public.
Srikanth and wife are residents of Surabhi Apartments in Tulasiammal Lay out, Singanallur. Both the couple are employed in a bank in the city. Yesterday, the couple left to work as usual and came back in the evening to their home. After refreshing the couple left for shopping. As the couple returned home after shopping in the night, they were shell-shocked to find their cupboard broke open and 30 sovereign of gold ornaments, worth Rs. 7 lakhs and Rs. 15000 of cash missing.
Srikanth immediately informed the Singanallur police station who came to the spot and took traces of finger prints from the cupboard and door handles. This theft incident in an apartment complex in a prime location has left the residents of Surabhi apartment and other apartment residents in the city perturbed.
The Singanallur police are presently investigating the case.
