A 10th std student of St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School, Coonoor died in a gruesome accident after his two-wheeler collided head-on with a lorry near Gandhipuram Area, Coonoor.
This noon, Dharshan, son of Saravanan and Viji was riding his two-wheeler near Gandhipuram area, Coonoor. Unexpectedly he collided head on with a lorry that was heading the opposite way and sustained severe injuries. Dharshan who got caught in the lorry's front wheel was crushed to death, sources say. The lorry driver escaped from the spot.
Another couple who were riding a two-wheeler were also reported to have sustained injuries due to this accident.
His body is presently taken to Coonoor Lawley Hospital for post-mortem examination. The death of a young boy who has just completed his 10th std public examination moved the public to an emotional state.

Youngsters during summer holidays riding two-wheelers and four-Wheeler without license and proper security measures has led to many gruesome accidents in the past too. Hence, parents should refrain from allowing them from driving vehicles until they have procured their legal license.
