A grand thanksgiving festival was held at the newly constructed Jesus Savior Church in Guruppanayakanpalayam, Dharapuram, under the South Indian Church of Tiruchirappalli Thanjavur Diocese.
Dharapuram: Under the patronage of the South Indian Church of Tiruchirappalli Thanjavur Diocese, a significant thanksgiving festival took place at the newly constructed Jesus Savior Church located in Guruppanayakanpalayam, falling under the Chinnaputhur Panchayat of Dharapuram. The ceremony was led by District Leader Selvaraj and witnessed a substantial congregation.

The event featured a mass and sermon by the Bishop of Thanjavur Diocese, Balrathinam, and welcomed famous guests including former MLA Thaniyarasu and Dr. K.V. Sivasankar, a member of the Adi Dravidar and Surveillance Committee. The festival began with words of welcome from Church Leader Joseph Ravichandran.
Approximately 500 people from the surrounding villages of Chinnaputhur, Narayanapuram, Guruppanayakanpalayam, Panchapatti, Periyaputhur, Chettipalayam, Ponnaburam, and Ammapatti participated eagerly in the festival and the communal feast that followed.
Many dignitaries and locals attended the ceremony. Prominent attendees included Church Secretary Johnson, Treasurer Joy Mercy, and the Reverends Sumathi Stella, Paul Manickam, and Ravichandran, who all contributed to the service.
