District Collector Inspects the Storage Facility of EVMs in Coimbatore

Kranthi Kumar Pati, Coimbatore District Collector, along with City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan, inspected the EVM storage facility at a Government College of Technology on Thadagam Road, used for Coimbatore constituency.


Coimbatore: In a crucial post-election update, the storage facility for Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) used in the Coimbatore parliamentary constituency was inspected today, April 29. Located at a Government College of Technology on Thadagam Road, the secure room houses the devices crucial for electoral integrity.

The inspection was conducted by Coimbatore District Election Officer and Collector, Kranthi Kumar Pati, and Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Stalin, was also present during the review. The officials took stock of the security measures and the current condition of the EVMs, ensuring that all were accounted for and in good order.

This routine inspection follows the recent elections and is part of the standard procedure to ensure the safety and reliability of the election process. The presence of high-ranking officials highlights the importance placed on maintaining stringent security protocols around electoral apparatus.
