Stern orders have been passed by the District Collector TN Hariharan to the farmers to refrain from directly pumping water from Bhavani River. Farmers' who do so will attract a fine along with confiscation of property, the Collector Said.
In this regard, a farmer who was engaged in pumping water from Bhavani river directly to his farmland was caught red-handed by Revenue Divisional Officer, Chinnasamy, Taluk Officer Daniel along with other officials. The high-suction motors, pipe lines were confiscated by the authorities.
