Udumalai VAO Suicide - Makkal Mithran Maniyan Arrested

In Tirupur district, Makkal Mithran Maniyan arrested for abetting the suicide of Udumalai VAO Karuppasamy. Maniyan detained in Theni, held in Coimbatore Central Prison.


Coimbatore: Late last night, in a significant development concerning the suicide case of Village Administrative Officer (VAO) Karuppasamy in Udumalai, Kannakambalayam, Tirupur district, police arrested Makkal Mithran Maniyan. Maniyan, accused of abetting the suicide alongside Village Assistant Chitra, was apprehended by a special team of police from Komangalam, in Theni. Following his arrest, Maniyan was presented at Pollachi Court and subsequently remanded to Coimbatore Central Prison. Meanwhile, the police are intensively searching for Chitra, who remains absconding.




The investigation had been ongoing, with the officers diligently working to bring the accused to justice, based on an incriminating suicide note implicating Maniyan and Chitra.
