Coimbatore International Airport Reports 13 Percent Growth in Traffic and Passenger Numbers

In total, the airport handled 29,04,611 passengers, combining both international and domestic, marking an overall increase of 13.6 percent compared to the 25,57,263 passengers handled in the fiscal year 2022-2023.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore International Airport has witnessed a significant increase in both air traffic and passenger numbers for the fiscal year 2023-2024. According to the latest figures, the airport recorded a 4.8% rise in international aircraft movements, up from 1,278 in the previous year to 1,339. There was also a 4.2% increase in domestic aircraft movements, escalating from 16,364 to 17,057.

The passenger traffic figures are even more impressive. International passenger numbers surged by 8.4%, from 194,817 in the previous fiscal year to 211,087. The domestic sector saw a robust growth of 14%, with passenger numbers rising from 2,362,446 to 2,693,524.
