1 crore and 30 lakhs of demonetized currency seized in Saravanampatti.


A car carrying Rs. 1 crore and 30 lakhs of demonetized old currency notes was confiscated by Police at the Saravanampatti check post.

The police today stopped a vehicle bearing Kerala registration for routine check. Jose, owner of the vehicle was behind the wheels. When the police enquired about his whereabouts, it is reported that Jose was not transparent during the enquiry.

The police grew suspicious over him and conducted a check on his vehicle. Shockingly, Jose had concealed Rs. 1 Crore and 30 lakhs of demonetized 500's and 1000's in his car. The police confiscated the vehicle and are presently investigating Jose.
