Final Campaign Stages Conclude at Valparai With Significant Participation from DMK

The final stages of campaigning concluded at Valparai, Coimbatore, with DMK members actively participating with music and dance, as per the election commission's orders ahead of the parliamentary elections on April 19.


Coimbatore: The concluding phase of the intense campaign session for the upcoming parliamentary elections wrapped up in Valparai area of Coimbatore District. According to the Election Commission's directive, all party activities were required to end by 6 PM today in preparation for the elections scheduled on the 19th of this month. DMK, AIADMK, and BJP were among the key parties marking their presence in various locations across Valparai, gathering large crowds for one last push to garner votes.






DMK took the lead with a substantial gathering of over 300 members, including the City Secretary Sudhakar, nicknamed Kutti, and former town council chairman Go Ganesan. They rallied around the Gandhi Statue Park, highlighting the achievements of the DMK administration such as free bus services for women, women's assistance funds, and other welfare schemes. The campaigners engaged the audience with music and dance, fervently advocating for DMK's contributions to the local populace.




Meanwhile, AIADMK members focused their efforts around the new bus stand area and BJP members campaigned at Anna Square, all participating in the final intensive phase. Closing the campaign, approximately 300 DMK supporters in Valparai performed dances and celebrated the achievements of the DMK, which included various leaders such as Deputy Chairman Senthilkumar and council member Jayabaskar from the municipal area.




Law enforcement officers, numbering over a hundred, were deployed across the campaign venues ensuring that the proceedings concluded smoothly by the designated time without any disruptions.
