Coimbatore District Administration Releases Awareness CD on Elections

Coimbatore District Administration has released an awareness CD on elections, as part of several initiatives in anticipation of the upcoming parliamentary elections.


Coimbatore: In light of the forthcoming parliamentary elections, the Coimbatore District Administration has undertaken various events to boost electoral awareness among the public. Today, Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati unveiled a specially prepared CD containing short films on election awareness from the district administration’s office. This CD was released in the presence of district revenue officers and various department officials who received copies of it.



During an interaction with journalists after the event, the District Collector stated that the district administration is continuously conducting awareness programs. He mentioned particular efforts in areas where voter turnout was previously less than 60%, aiming to ensure understanding and commitment to increasing voter participation. Kranthi Kumar Pati urged for cooperative efforts to achieve 100% voter registration and turnout in Coimbatore. He emphasized the ongoing joint efforts with all department officials to ensure essential facilities, like ramps and wheelchairs, are available at every polling station. He also informed about the proactive dispatch of mobile electoral squads to various locations based on complaints received, ensuring that immediate actions are taken wherever necessary.
