Intense Vehicle Checks by Flying Squads in Valparai Ahead of Parliamentary Elections

In Valparai, flying squads are conducting strict vehicle inspections to prevent voter bribery as the parliamentary election approaches on the 19th.

Coimbatore: With the parliamentary elections scheduled for the 19th, the election commission has deployed flying squads throughout various regions to intensify their scrutiny over voter activities. In Valparai, particular attention is being paid to vehicular movements, joining other areas where candidates are actively campaigning.

The objective behind these vehicle checks is to curb the transport of unaccounted cash intended for voter bribery. Over 50,000 instances of cash seizures have been made so far during these inspections, where vehicles are stopped, and the funds carried without proper documentation are confiscated.

Teams from the primary and secondary flying squads were actively involved in the operation, covering multiple checkpoints like Azhiyar, Waterfalls Checkpost, and the areas around Solaiyar Dam and the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border areas such as Malukkaparai. These efforts are part of a comprehensive effort to ensure a fair election process devoid of undue influences.
