Awareness Rally for 100 percent Voting by Persons with Disabilities in Coimbatore

In Coimbatore, an awareness rally aimed at encouraging 100 percent voter turnout, particularly among persons with disabilities, was conducted, led by District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati.


Coimbatore: As part of ongoing efforts to raise awareness about the importance of voting in the forthcoming Parliamentary elections, an innovative awareness rally was conducted in Coimbatore on April 3, 2024, focusing on ensuring 100% voting participation, especially among persons with disabilities. The rally, which saw the participation of differently-abled individuals on two-wheelers, was initiated by District Collector/Election Officer Kranthi Kumar Pati from the district collectorate office premises.



The rally commenced from the district collectorate office and concluded at Thomas Park, marking a significant effort to educate and motivate eligible voters about their crucial role in the democratic process. Prior to the rally, District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati engaged with the participants, inquiring about their well-being and discussing the significance of casting their votes, while also addressing any concerns they had regarding the voting process.

This initiative underscores the administration's dedication to inclusive voter participation and the empowerment of persons with disabilities, ensuring that all segments of society are represented in the electoral process.
