Around 2000, BS-III vehicles sold in Coimbatore in just one day!

After the Supreme Court's order to ban sales of BS-III models of vehicles across the nation, manufacturers had announced surprising discounts to the customers to liquidate the stocks. As manufacturers have offered up to a mind-blowing 50 percent discount, a huge rush of  potential customers were spotted at all outlets in the city.

In the district of Coimbatore, 2000 BS-III vehicles were sold yesterday, 30th March, 2017. Alluring discounts ranging from Rs.10,000 to Rs. 55,000 lured the people to buy the products.

Speaking on this, one of the Directors of Suguna Motors stated that, 'At both our outlets in Mettupalaym road and the one near Nehru Stadium all BS-III vehicles (two-wheelers) were sold. Small-end vehicles like Scooty were sold at a discount upto Rs. 14,000 while high-end bikes were sold at a maximum discount of Rs. 55,000. This switch over from BS-III to BS-IV will not impact the dealers but the manufacturers will face a huge hit on unsold vehicles'.

The main feature of the BS-IV vehicles is restricted evaporation emissions from fuel tanks. Unlike, BS-III vehicles, the BS-IV vehicles will have a new breather value in the body structure which will aid in controlling emissions.
