The Tamil Nadu Government College Teacher's Association (TNGCTA) today conducted a demonstration in front of the Coimbatore Government Arts College to condemn the assault of a professor by some guest faculty at the Thiru Vi Ka Government Arts College, Thiruvarur.
The teaching faculty demanded action on the person who was indulged in the assault and to conduct a thorough probe on the incident. The teaching faculty also threw light on the plight of the faculties at all government colleges across Tamil Nadu.
'In order to avoid such condemnable eventualities in the future, the authorities should ensure security to all teaching faculties employed at Government Colleges', the protesting faculties of TNGCTA urged.
